Hey there, {{first_name | friend}},

I’ve got a nerdy confession: I’ve been building an AI assistant behind-the-scenes with my team! You’ve been telling me for years what you want from AI and where it’s not delivering:

“AI promises a lot, but it is just one more thing to figure out.”

“I don’t need one more app to download. I’m already drowning!”

“I don’t want to engineer long prompts. I just want something that works.”

Enter my new AI tool: Em. Launching next month.

Em is an AI-powered family assistant that works entirely over text (no app, no downloads, no learning curve). You just text like you would text a friend who happens to be brilliant at keeping families running smoothly.

Em in the Wild: Listen to my story on the Trust Me Mom podcast

In this recent episode of the Trust Me Mom podcast, I sat down with host Ekaterina Konovalova to talk about why I created Em. And if you’re a mom, you’ll relate.

In this chat, I talk about the never-ending grocery lists I used to carry in my head, the calendar conflicts I’d discover at the worst possible moments, and the realization that the hardest part of parenthood was never the physical work. It was everything I was holding in my mind.

Meet Em

Here are just a few things Em can do for you:

1. Scheduling and calendar management. Text Em to add, reschedule, or cancel events. She detects conflicts and helps you sort them before they become a problem. Connect your Google Calendar and she sends daily and weekly previews so you always know what is coming without opening a single app.

2. Meal planning. Tell Em your family's preferences, dietary needs, and how much time you have. She will suggest dinners, build weekly menus, and work around the picky eaters. She remembers that your youngest hates peas and that Tuesday nights are always rushed.

3. Self-care support. Em is not just for managing everyone else. She blocks time for you, suggests small ways to take care of yourself, and nudges you when you have been running on empty too long.

4. Improvement over time. Nicknames, schedules, routines, preferences - Em builds a picture of your household over time so every response feels like it came from someone who actually knows you.

And the best part?  It all happens via text message (SMS). Just text Em in the same way you’d text a friend!

What Our Parent Testers Are Saying

Meet Jenny, one of our testers. She is a mom of two in Los Angeles, works full-time, and balances her calendar with her nanny’s and a school schedule. It wasn’t unusual for her to jolt awake at 3 AM in a panic upon realizing she’d dropped or double-booked something. Again.

Then she started texting Em.

Now Jenny texts Em quick notes throughout the day, things like "Put soccer signup on my calendar on Friday at 8AM" or "Need to pack nut-free snack for field trip tomorrow at 6." Em tracks it all, sends texts at the right time, and helps her find pockets of time for herself.

Jenny’s not an “AI person.” She didn’t want another app. She just wanted someone to help her remember, and to actually be present at dinner instead of mentally running through tomorrow's list.

That’s exactly what Em is for.
