Hey there, {{first_name | friend}},

I feel very lucky to be spending Mother’s Day with my 3 girls and my mom, with my mother-in-law just a phone call away. I know how rare this is, and it’s not something I take for granted.

I imagine that for some of you, this day comes with grief: missing a mom who’s gone, mourning a relationship that’s complicated, or feeling the ache of a version of motherhood that didn’t go the way you had hoped. If that’s where you are this weekend - I see you, and I’m so glad you’re here.

I hope this edition gives you something useful, something heart-warming, and a few minutes that belong just to you.

Happy Mother's Day.

AI Prompts: The Mother's Day Edition

Prompt 1: For honoring your own mom, in her words

Act as a thoughtful interviewer and family historian. I want to capture my mom's stories before they are lost. Help me create a list of 10 meaningful questions I can ask her this Mother's Day - questions to draw out the memories, the feelings, and the wisdom she carries. Format the output as a warm, conversational question guide I can print or pull up on my phone.

Mom tip: Record it if she’ll let you. These are conversations you’ll want to have forever.

Prompt 2: For writing a tribute to the mom you’re becoming

Act as a warm and reflective writing coach. Interview me to write a short letter to myself as a mom. Ask what I have learned, how I have grown, what I hope for the years ahead, and anything else you need to write a letter to me about myself as a mom. Format the output as a printable letter to myself for Mother’s Day 2026 that I can save.

Mom tip: Y’all, I am the one writing these prompts so when I try them myself, they shouldn’t surprise me. But this one really got me.

Prompt 3: For putting the complicated feelings Mother’s Day can surface on paper

Act as a graphic designer and create a beautiful, printable Mother's Day (May 10) journal artifact with a soft, warm design (muted florals, sage green, blush, and cream tones; handwritten-style font for headings). Format as a keepsake, not a worksheet. Include generous writing space beneath each journal prompt, and design it to be filled out privately on paper or in a PDF editor. Include these journal prompts:

  • How I'm actually feeling today

  • What I wish someone would say to me today

  • Something I'm grieving or missing this Mother's Day (include a gentle note acknowledging loss, estrangement, infertility, or complicated relationships)

  • A moment I felt like a good enough mom recently

  • What I want to let go of today

  • A small act of care I can give myself today (offer a few options to circle: rest, a walk, a good meal, calling a friend, crying it out, or write your own)

Mom tip: Here’s what I created in Claude if you’d like to print and use!
